Heat Pump Radiators

Heat pump radiators are suitable for powerful, efficient heating and cooling at low system temperatures. The energy-saving operation of a heat pump is optimized.

Kampmann heat pump radiators are suitable for use in new buildings to optimally benefit from the cooling function of the heat pump. However, they are particularly well-suited for existing buildings, as the switch from an oil or gas heating system to a heat pump is easily possible.

  • Cooling and heating in combination with heat pump/chiller
  • No refrigerant circulating in the building, and only small amounts in the chiller
  • Fast response times thanks to powerful and efficient EC fans
  • For every requirement, for installation in and under the ceiling, wall-mounted, or free-standing
  • For use in hybrid systems for introducing primary air and tempering recirculated air
  • For air conditioning as a supplement to surface tempering

Highlights

Heat Pump Efficiency

A low-temperature system only becomes efficient when combined with economical room units. Heat pump radiators are designed for a regular flow temperature of the heat pump of around 95 °F – unlike conventional radiators. A 95 °F low-temperature system with a heat pump radiator operates 25-35% more economically than a high-temperature system at 131 °F – and is significantly more responsive than underfloor heating.

Easy Conversion

Fan-assisted radiators are ideally suited for use in existing buildings, as the switch from an oil or gas heating system to a heat pump is easily possible. Compared to underfloor heating, low-temperature radiators offer two decisive advantages: They are quick and easy to install and connect to existing pipes – without milling floors and laying new floor coverings.

Effective Cooling

In addition to the energy-efficient heating function, heat pump radiators offer an integrated cooling function when used with a heat pump. Depending on the insulation of the existing piping system, dry or humid cooling can be realized

Quiet Operation

Heat pump radiators heat and cool with fan support. The use of EPP, expanded polypropylene, ensures optimal airflow, enabling maximum air volumes at low sound power levels. This is why heat pump radiators are installed in office spaces and living areas – even in bedrooms.

The Heat Pump System

The temperatures of the heating water are crucial for the efficient operation of any heating system. How warm this water needs to be depends on the chosen combination of heat generator and heat consumer. The basic principle is always the same: A heat generator supplies warm water to room units, and the heat consumers use the warm water to temper the rooms.

If an oil or gas boiler is replaced by a heat pump as the heat generator, low system temperatures are recommended to keep operating costs low at high performance. Fan-assisted convectors are recommended as heat consumers, as they quickly achieve 3-4 times the output in low-temperature operation compared to conventional radiators.
